Meet Our Founder

Hi, I’m Annabel - mom and founder of Colby & Co.

Creating a boutique has always been a dream of mine. I’ve always loved fashion, shopping, and anything entrepreneurial or creative. For years, opening a clothing boutique sat quietly on my list of goals, and when I finally shared the idea with friends and family, almost everyone said the same thing: “This just makes sense for you.” But it wasn’t until becoming a mom that I truly felt inspired to bring Colby & Co. to life.

In my full-time career, I work in a fast-paced, high-pressure role as a Lead HR Business Partner in the tech industry. While I’ve always loved the strategic and people-focused side of my career, I found myself craving a creative outlet - something meaningful and fulfilling that brought joy outside of work and allowed me to build something special alongside my daughter.

Then one sleepless night, when the idea felt especially heavy on my heart, I finally decided it was now or probably never. And in true Annabel fashion, I chose to go for it during one of the busiest seasons of my life.

After welcoming my daughter, Colby, I found myself drawn even more to timeless, comfortable, and beautifully curated children’s pieces - styles that felt classic, elevated, and practical for everyday life. What started as simply enjoying dressing my daughter soon turned into constant questions about where her outfits were from, and eventually inspired me to create a boutique other families could enjoy too.

During those early days of motherhood, some of my favorite moments were the simplest ones - walks through the mall with my husband and daughter, rediscovering myself in this new season of life, and dreaming about building something meaningful alongside my baby girl. Those quiet moments became the beginning of Colby & Co.

I’ve always been drawn to the beach and the timeless simplicity of coastal living, and that inspiration naturally became woven into the brand through soft coastal tones, nostalgic details, and thoughtfully curated collections that feel relaxed, classic, and easy to wear.
